Cranberry Relish Written By: Shantel Whitford Prep Time: 10 minutes Cook Time: 1 minute plus rest for 1 hour Print Recipe Ingredients 12 ounces fresh cranberries 1 apple ½ orange 1 cup granulated sugar ½ cup walnuts Instructions Place walnuts in the food processor and pulse until they are finely chopped. Transfer to a medium-sized bowl. Place the cranberries in a food processor and pulse until coarsely chopped. Transfer the cranberries to the same bowl as the walnuts. Cut the apple into quarters and remove the core and seeds. Add the apple to the food processor and pulse until finely chopped. Add the apple to the bowl with the cranberries and walnuts. Remove all the seeds and chop the ends off the orange, then add the orange to the food processor and pulse until finely chopped. Add the orange to the bowl with the cranberries and apples. Add the sugar to the bowl and stir to combine. Cover the bowl and refrigerate for at least one hour to let the flavors combine. Serve garnished with cranberries and orange zest if desired. This is a super fun, fresh version of the traditionally cooked cranberry sauce. You can add spices or even swap the apple for a pear. Your guests will be sure to enjoy this fresh take on cranberry sauce! What I love most about this recipe is it can be made up to three days before your event, which helps save time!
