S'mores Written By: Shantel Whitford Prep Time: 5 minutes Cook Time: 5 minutes Print Recipe Ingredients 12 marshmallows 24 of your favorite cookies or graham crackers 12 pieces of your favorite chocolate Roasting sticks Instructions Place marshmallows on roasting sticks and toast them over the campfire. Whether you like your marshmallows slowly toasted to a perfect light brown or charred on the outside, there is no real wrong way. Then choose two of your cookies or crackers and one piece of chocolate. Build the s'more like it's a sandwich with the marshmallow and the chocolate in the middle. Then enjoy! We love to roast marshmallows at home and of course when we go camping. In the summer when the burn ban is in effect outdoors, the kids like to melt the marshmallows in the microwave for a few seconds and build their s'mores that way. I enjoy the classic s'more with graham crackers and Hershey's chocolate. Each of my kids has their own signature s'more. EmmaRose likes a double-decker. She toasts her marshmallow to perfection, uses Hershey's chocolate, and adds an Oreo to the middle for her masterpiece. Thomas loves to use Twix and soft chocolate chip cookies to go with his charred marshmallow. Nathan enjoys his with Reeses cups, a charred marshmallow, and Chips Ahoy cookies. AvaLilly loves to use M&Ms and the Keebler fudge striped cookies with her marshmallow that's cooked to golden brown perfection! Hudson loves all s'mores, but his signature s'more is made with Nutter Butters and cookies and cream. The white chocolate and peanut butter combo is quite the pairing with his toasted-to-perfection marshmallow.
